Pretty much everyone knows the feeling of dealingwith people who have no idea what your professionis actually all about. Sometimes it even becomesfrustrating to explain the nuances of your job overand over again. But if people will pay attention tothis post, many won't have to do it ever again.

I think nurses are the most underappreciated maybe only second to teachers. My dad was inout of the hospital constantly for 3 years. I can't say enough good things about all of hisnurses. You're all beautiful in my eyes

I have fought agains art thieves. They often have very ridiculous explanations why it is OK topost other people's work as their own. Last week for example one person thought it was OK topost copyrighted photos to her gallery only because she had written some Bible quotes onthem. When I told that person that it still was not OK to use someone else's pictures eventhough they had edited them that person just thought that I hate her because she was aChristian and I was a sinner.

10. Editor
编辑
Editing is more about fixing arguments and story sturcture than fixing sentences. Often when Itell someone I'm a book editor, I get some form of: "That's so awesome! I love finding typos!"
编辑的职责更多的是加强论证，调整故事结构，而不是修改句子。很多时候当我告诉别人我是一个编辑，他们经常的评论是“听上去真不错。我最喜欢在文章里找小错误了。
As a writer I got always a similar question: "Is your editor correcting typos and grammar?" Ehm, no, that is the job of the corrector. The editors job is.. see above
